The WMD Team in conjunction with the Feemont Arts Council presents Weapons
of Mass Distraction, a multimedia event that will include excellent
information, art, music, poetry and humor, all designed to help you navigate
the maze of propaganda and trivia which dominates the corporate media
landscape. Performances by Jim Page, Otha Major, Degenerate Art Ensemble and
others. Special guest emcee Lauren Weedman will entertain, enliven, and
amuse. An array of visual and performance artists will share critical
insights, while representatives from local alternative media advocacy groups
will provide up-to-date information. Beer and food will be available at this
event. Proceeds to benefit KBCS 91.3 fm, Seattle IndyMedia, and 911 Media
Arts.
