Snow Peaks at the Walker

Clearly inspired by the magnificent mountain scenery of Western Washington, and echoing the color palette of the North Cascades in fall, this hand-built mountain mass forms a backdrop to the rest of the garden, wrapping around the southeast corner immediately behind the Walkers' home. White-painted concrete simulates snow on the peaks; a small part of the system of lakes draining from Thunder Egg Fountain is visible at center.
