The tailgate makes its own statement, in a somewhat quieter way than the front grille. The caricature recalls Queen Elizabeth's ban on cell phones at Buckingham Palace; but the poor Queen is surrounded by obnoxiously tinkling cell phones in brightly colored faceplates. Her ban is an exercise in futility, as underlined by the implacable slogan in the rear hatch window.
