Not in Our Name, a nationwide project opposed to endless war on the world, the war on Iraq, detentions and round-ups of immigrants, and police-state restrictions, calls on all people of conscience to be a part of strengthening a nationwide movement to turn the tide of war and repression.  Join our weekly organizing meetings on Sundays at 7 p.m. at 431 Boylston Ave. E on Capitol Hill (2 blocks west of Broadway, between Harrison and Republican). There are many ways to be involved. We need volunteers! if you'd like to help leaflet or staff the NION table at any of the upcoming events, please let us know by emailing  us with "I'm volunteering" in the subject line. Now more than ever we need your support and involvement to reach millions more people. We are serious about stopping war and repression. All interested parties are invited to help plan upcoming activities.  Join us!  Together we can change the course of history.

A Million Globes Campaign

The Not In Our Name project is launching a campaign calling on people across the country to display images of the Earth globe as a symbol of solidarity with the people of the world. Globe images everywhere will create a community of resistance where people will know they are not alone in opposition to war and hope for a better world. NION is calling for a million globes to go up everywhere--in as many creative forms our hearts and minds can imagine. Earth images are available at the national NION website under Organizing Materials. NION will be producing posters and yard signs with the globe image and the words: No War on the World, No War on Iraq, Not in Our Name! Make your own original Earth globe creations and share them with the nation by sending them to: info@notinourname.net Contact us to help distribute materials, report a globe sighting, or make a dopnation toward the globe campaign. Reach out to your friends, neighbors and community to say together, in one voice with the whole nation, Not In Our Name!

Praxis Artists, a collective of autonomous artists interested in making a difference through social activism, is now planning meetings for a number of projects, including a CD, and a labyrinth of children's photos depicting the devastating effects of war.  For information, email Praxis or visit their page.
