A flock of pink flamingos landed on the wet streets of Fremont just in time to join the 1994 Fremont Solstice Parade.A colorful and irreverent celebration of the season, life in general, and procreative powers in particular, the Parade has been held since 1989 and annually delights thousands of visitors from all over the Pacific Northwest. It is the signature event of the Fremont Arts Council.
