Peter Toms is one of the moving spirits of the Fremont Arts Council, and a
brilliant practitioner of its trademark crafts: Mask making, disguises, costumes,
stilt-walking, pyrotechnics, and ingeniously contrived floats. With his FAC bro', Terry Robb, he runs the Condor
Technical Services Co. (a consumer electronics and stagecraft firm) in Fremont. Peter is
seen here clowning around on a scooter at the Fremont Solstice Parade in
1996--a parade he co-founded 11 years ago.
Peter recently married Laura
Baumwall, another stellar performer in the Seattle streets often seen in the
Solstice Parade, Trolloween, Phat Tuesday,
Islewilde, and the sundry other counterculture events which distinguish Seattle as a
center of zany grass-roots creativity. Our warm congratulations to both members of this
Dynamic Duo!
