The SINGING BANANAS are part of the appeal to motorists passing Rising Sun Farms on NE 65th St., where the University District meets the Roosevelt. Originally painted in 1981, Mike Lindberg's mural depicts the fruits as a barbershop quartet hamming it up onstage. The building also features dancing strawberries - rather obviously derived from the California Raisins of TV commercial fame, but manic and fun just the same.
