GLAMORAMA is a trendy
clothing, card, and kitsch decor shop one block from the bridge in the heart
of Fremont, Seattle's obsessively groovy
"left bank." This welded sculpture group has added a whimsical
air to Fremont Avenue North since 1992. It was made by Walt,
an elderly gent from Bellingham, Washington, who once operated Walt's Small
Engine Repair. Walt is clearly a folk artist of the post-industrial age,
expressing his low-key sense of humor by recycling lawnmower parts into
appealing caricatures.
