Phil Teller's HERKIMER PLAYA JITNEY is first and foremost a Burning Man vehicle, commonly seen romping the playa sands over Labor Day Weekend. The Playa Jitney is an official vehicle of the Black Rock City Post Office and features an impressive propane burner, trophy parts, external sound system, and lots of cool lights. Huge tailfins of jigsawed plywood complete the effect of a radical custom vehicle.

In his persona as Captain Conundrum, Phil pilots the Jitney around the desert sands, decked out in aviator goggles and flame- painted leather jacket.

Using an apparatus of pipes surrounding the main burner, the Jitney can throw fireballs as long as 50 feet  by spraying droplets of gasoline into the apex of the propane flame.

Stenciled with joke warnings such as DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME and NEVER EVER USE, the Jitney creates one of the biggest thrills in Seattle Art Cardom!
