Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA) took a strong stand against the Bush Administration's aggressive policy towards Iraq. Speaking to the packed crowd at Westlake Center, he compared Bush's power grabs to a de facto military coup and stated that the war frenzy was devised to distract Americans from the Administration's failed economic policies.
