*  D I N O  *  A - G O - GO  *
by  Paul  Granard

Inspired by his girlfriend Celeste's marvelous Monkey Mobile, Paul Granard created Dino-A-Go-Go in 2001 using a $200 Toyota as his base car. The little green car has sprouted palm trees and a diorama with lakes and furious battles between competing paleolithic life forms. Big dino heads project from the quarter panels and the rear deck of the car. A plastic volcano spews molten lava from the center of the roof, while dinosaurs frolic undeterred roundabout the smoking cone. And there's a skeletal T-Rex in profile on each door. In parades, the owners mug for the crowd with dinosaur hand puppets held out the windows.

This is one car that must be seen to be believed. Kids love it--including Art Car aficionado Dr. Schlock!

Dino A-Go-Go has been a dependable unit of the Seattle Art Cars ever since its creation.  It was seen in the Tacoma Art Museum show in June 2001, at the 2001 Blowout in Seattle, and at the show at the Snohomish County Art Center in Everett on 9/13/01.  See Dino A-Go-Go at Art Car Blowout 2002 in Seattle.
