Dave Frishberg is one of the great wise guys of jazz, a witty lyricist and clever composer,and a killer pianist as well. Some of his best-known tunes include MyAttorney Bernie, Blizzard of Lies, and Quality Time,many of which are available on his Concord Jazz release, DaveFrishberg Classics. Having spent much time living in L.A.and the Big Apple, Frishberg now makes his home in Portland, Oregon andis a popular entertainer on the West Coast and nationwide. He is seen hereperforming on a Jazz Cruise on Puget Sound co-sponsored by Starbucks andKPLU-FM, Tacoma-Seattle, in October 1996.
For more than five years, Frishberg was seen at his regularWednesday and Thursday evening gig accompanying singer Rebecca Kilgore at Portland's Heathman Hotel. Following this, they played together at Atwater's in Portland in another long-running gig.
