Art Car Blowout 2002 featured some 72 decorated vehicles from across the U.S. and Canada. The cars were displayed along North 35th Street in Fremont during the Fremont Fair. There was a record-breaking Art Car Parade on Sunday June 24, starting from Golden Gardens Park and proceeding through the center of Ballard into Fremont via Market and Leary Way, with 64 fine vehicles wheeling past the whooping, cheering fans.

Cars were displayed along N. 35th Street between Phinney Ave. N and 1st Ave. NW (i.e., between the Redhook Ale Brewery and ProLab.)
Performances by the Phenomenauts (Outer Space Rockabilly band from San Francisco) at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at the Fremont Fair, at 9:30 Saturday at the Lock & Keel in Ballard, and Sunday at 1. They tore it up!
