June 16-17, 2001 @ the Fremont Fair!
As a part of the Fremont Fair in Seattle's funky Fremont District (known for its unconventional approach to the arts), the Seattle Art Cars hosted their third annual invitational show featuring some 60 Art Cars from across the U.S. and Canada. The '01 Blowout took place in Fremont, Center of the Universe, on June 16-17, 2001. More than 50 decorated vehicles participated in Seattle's very own Art Car Parade on Sunday June 17. Cars were on display both days along N. 35th Street between Phinney Ave. N and First Avenue NW, in the heart of the Fremont Fair Grounds.
